Tailor your lighting, LED strip extension or shortening

This SMD5050 LED strip is very easy to cut to shorten or lengthen. Cutting can be done in the middle of the copper plates with a + and - sign underneath. These can be easily clicked into a coupler or sealed with a cap.

With a voltage drop of approximately 0.1V per meter, the brightness of the LEDs is maintained over the entire length of the strip. For optimal operation, we recommend extending the LED Strip to the following maximum lengths:

LED Strip 12V

For optimal operation, we recommend extending the length of this 12V strip to no more than 10 meters. This will preserve a uniform light effect without noticeable loss of brightness.

LED Strip 24V

For optimal operation, we recommend extending the length of this 24V strip to no more than 20 meters. This will preserve a uniform light effect without noticeable loss of brightness.

Power your lighting with confidence

To connect the LED strip, you need a power adapter. This LED strip works on 12V/24V and must be converted with an adapter. Choosing the right adapter is important to get the most out of the LED strip but also to avoid too little power going through the strip.

Make sure the total wattage of the power adapter is at least 20% higher than the power consumption of the LED strip. (Example: 5 meters = 72W | 72x1.2 = 86.4 | Therefore, a power adapter with a power of at least 86.4W is required. We recommend 100W.
