What 15 meters of LED strip is for

• A ceiling cove around a room of about 3 × 4.5 meters.
• A kitchen with lines of light under the wall cabinets, in the plinth and above the cabinets.
• A shop wall with shelves or a long counter.

Which 15m set do you choose?

• COB Essential, 8 W/m: calm, indirect ceiling light.
• COB Advanced, 10 W/m: bright light that can also serve as main lighting.
• SMD2835, 60 or 120 LEDs per meter: efficient, ideal in a cove where the strip is out of sight.

Even light over 15 meters

At 24V you usually feed power every 10 meters. So feed a 15 meter run in the middle or at both ends, so the light is equally bright everywhere. Size the power supply with watts per meter × 15 ÷ 0.8: 15 meters at 8 W/m needs at least 150 W. See the LED strip power supplies and the connectors.

Frequently asked questions about 15m LED strips

How do I measure how much strip I need?

Measure the perimeter of the cove or the length of the wall and include the corners. A 3 × 4.5 meter room has 15 meters all round.

Can I dim the strip?

Yes, with an LED strip controller between the power supply and the strip, with a remote, wall panel or app. See the dimmers and controllers.
