High quality

This LED strip is made of high-quality plastic and is very flexible. The back has a 3M adhesive strip making it very easy to install. The strip has a standard length of 5 meters, but this can easily be adjusted by cutting the strip or connecting multiple strips together. This SMD5050 LED strip has an IP65 protection rating. This means the strip is resistant to water and moisture. The strip can be installed in damp areas or outdoors between temperatures of -25°C to 60°C.

Water-resistant LED Strip

This LED strip has an IP65 rating. It is water-resistant and dust-free and can therefore be installed in damp areas. The strip is protected against water up to 100 liters per minute (a faucet delivers about 12-16 liters per minute).

Extending or cutting the LED strip

This SMD5050 LED strip is very easy to cut to shorten or extend. Cutting can be done in the middle of the copper plates marked with + and -. These can easily be clicked into a connector or sealed with a cap.

With a voltage drop of about 0.1V per meter, the brightness of the LEDs is maintained over the entire length of the strip. For optimal performance, we recommend extending the LED strip to the following maximum lengths:

LED Strip 12V

For optimal performance, we recommend not extending this 12V strip longer than 10 meters. This ensures an even light effect without noticeable loss of brightness.

LED Strip 24V

For optimal performance, we recommend not extending this 24V strip longer than 20 meters. This ensures an even light effect without noticeable loss of brightness.

The right power supply

To connect the LED strip you need a power adapter. This LED strip operates on 12V/24V and must be powered by an adapter. Choosing the right adapter is important to get the maximum out of the LED strip and to prevent insufficient power supply.

Make sure the total wattage of the power adapter is at least 20% higher than the power consumption of the LED strip. (Example: 5 meters = 72W | 72x1.2= 86.4 | Therefore, a power adapter with at least 86.4W is needed. We recommend 100W.)

Applications for LED strips

This LED strip is suitable for both commercial and residential use. It is often used in trade shows, escape rooms, shops, cafés and restaurants, public transport, living rooms, bedrooms, etc.

The possibilities are endless. Think of lighting along stairs, lighting inside cabinets, or lighting under a sofa or bed. In cafés, LED strips are often used to illuminate the bar. LED strips are also commonly used as ceiling lighting in coves.

Light color

To determine the right light color, it is important to know the purpose of the light. Below is a description of the most common uses of different light colors.

• 2400K has a soft orange glow. Comparable to candlelight or a late sunset. Ideal for a cozy, warm, and relaxing atmosphere in living rooms, cafés, restaurants, and other spaces that do not require bright light.
• 3000K has a slightly yellow/orange glow and is a bit brighter than 2700K but still warm. Ideal for a cozy, warm, and relaxing atmosphere in living rooms, waiting rooms, cafés, restaurants, corridors, and other general spaces.
• 4000K has a white/yellow glow. Ideal for well-lit spaces where good visibility, focus, and a pleasant atmosphere are desired, such as offices, classrooms, kitchens, hallways, shops, fitting rooms, hair salons, stairwells, or waiting rooms.
• 6000K has a white/light blue glow. Ideal for well-lit spaces where good visibility and concentration are needed, such as hospitals, laboratories, workshops, studios, and garages.
