High quality

This SMD2835 LED strip is made from high-quality flexible plastic. It has 3M adhesive backing for easy fitting and is supplied in a 5-metre length that can be cut or connected to additional sections. Its IP20 rating means it is not resistant to water or moisture, so it is for indoor use only at temperatures from -25°C to 60°C. It can be used for decorative or general lighting.

Extending or shortening an LED strip

This LED strip is easy to cut or extend. Both the 12V and 24V versions can be cut every 3 LEDs (10 cm). Cut through the middle of the copper contacts marked + and -. Sections can be joined using connectors or sealed with end caps.

The following connectors are available for shaping the strip as required.

  • Straight connector
  • 90° corner connector
  • T-connector

For connecting the strip, the following connectors are available.

  • DC connector
  • End piece with short 2-pin wire

Choosing the right power supply

A power adapter is needed to connect this strip. It operates on 12V and requires a suitable adapter to convert the voltage. The correct adapter allows the intended performance and prevents insufficient power.

The power supply should have a higher wattage rating than the LED strip. For example, 5 metres use 24W, so a supply rated at least 24W is required.

    LED strip applications

This strip suits professional and domestic use, including offices, shops, cafés, restaurants, public transport, living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms.

Other examples include lighting along stair treads, in cupboards or under a sofa or bed. Cafés often use LED strips to illuminate bars, while ceiling coves are another frequent application.

    Light colour

Choose the colour temperature according to the purpose of the lighting. The usual uses for each colour are described below.

    • 2400K has a soft orange glow, like candlelight or a late sunset. Suitable for a warm, homely and restful atmosphere in living rooms, cafés, restaurants and other spaces that do not need bright light.
    • 3000K has a slightly yellow-orange glow and is brighter than 2700K while remaining warm. Suitable for comfortable lighting in living rooms, waiting areas, cafés, restaurants, corridors and general spaces.
    • 4000K has a white-yellow tone. Suitable where visibility, concentration and comfort matter, including offices, classrooms, kitchens, corridors, shops, changing rooms, hairdressers, stairwells and waiting areas.
    • 6000K has a white to pale-blue tone. Suitable for bright spaces requiring good visibility and concentration, such as hospitals, laboratories, workshops, studios and garages.
