48W power adapter for higher-output LED strips

If a small adapter is not powerful enough, fixed wiring is not always necessary. This 48W plug-in power adapter powers a higher-output 12V or 24V LED strip and connects through an EU mains plug. The output has a DC connector.

Brighter lighting around a worktop

At 9.6W/m, around 4m of LED strip draws 38.4W, which is close to the recommended load. Alternatively, around 4.5m of 8W/m COB strip draws 36W. This lets you size the adapter for worktop lighting or a longer strip in a wall cabinet.

Choose by voltage and total power

Use 12V for a 12V strip and 24V for a 24V strip. Add up the total strip power and check that the DC plug fits the strip or connector. The 60W adapter is the next option for considerably higher power.
