UGR < 19: Lighting for optimal comfort and productivity
The Unified Glare Rating (UGR) is a measure of the amount of glare caused by a light source. The lower the UGR value, the less glare and discomfort you experience. For office and educational environments, a UGR value below 19 is recommended to ensure optimal visual comfort.
The impact of glare on your health and productivity
Insufficient or inappropriate lighting can lead to various physical and mental complaints, including:
- Headaches
- Fatigue
- Irritated or itchy eyes
- Short concentration
- Reduced productivity
- An irritated or grumpy mood
The benefits of lighting with a low UGR value:
- Increases visual comfort
- Reduces glare and dazzle
- Improves concentration and productivity
- Creates a more pleasant working environment
- Can lead to less headaches and eye complaints
Improve your work environment with stable, flicker-free LED lighting
Our Edge-lit LED panels come standard with a flicker-free LED driver. This ensures optimal light output without flickering. Flickering may be invisible to the naked eye but can still cause headaches, tired eyes and concentration problems.
How does a flicker-free driver work?
A traditional LED driver converts alternating current (AC) into direct current (DC) needed by the LEDs. However, this can result in flickering, which is not always visible to the naked eye.
A flicker-free driver, on the other hand, uses advanced technology to stabilize the current and eliminate flicker. This ensures a comfortable and healthy light environment.
Good for photography and video
LED lighting flicker is often not visible to the naked eye. That does not mean it is not there. With a camera, you can see the flicker. Flicker-free LED lighting is ideal for photography. Because there is no flicker, no blurry stripes or other unwanted effects are created in your photos.
Installation of the LED panel: simple and flexible
This LED panel is suitable for various mounting options.
- System ceiling: Simply place the panel in your system ceiling with 30x120cm tiles.
- Surface mount: Choose a surface frame for a sleek installation on your ceiling.
- Recessed: Use mounting clips for seamless integration in your ceiling.
- Suspension: With a suspension set you can easily hang the panel wherever you want.
Tip: Use a surface frame combined with the suspension set for a neater finish.
Connection
- Direct to mains: The included LED driver provides direct connection to the mains.
- Socket: Optionally use a power cord to connect the panel to a socket.

Sustain and save with LED panels
Our LED panels are a durable alternative to traditional fluorescent panels and halogen lamps. With a power consumption of only 36W, they consume significantly less energy while still delivering a high light output of 120 lumen/Watt. This makes them an extremely efficient light source.
The benefits of LED lighting
- Energy saving: Save up to 70% on your energy costs compared to traditional lighting.
- Long lifespan: LED panels last up to 25 times longer than fluorescent panels.
- Environmentally friendly: LED lighting produces less CO2 and is therefore better for the environment.
- Bright, flicker-free light: LED panels provide bright and even lighting without flicker.
- Low maintenance: LED panels require hardly any maintenance.
How many LED panels do you need?
The number of LED panels you need depends on the height and size of your space.
At a height of 2.7 meters, this panel illuminates about 8 m². So for a space of 80 m² you basically need 10 panels.
There are a few more factors you can consider:
- Desired light intensity: How much light do you want in the space? For office spaces, a light intensity of 500 lux is recommended, for example.
- Type of LED panel: The light output of LED panels can vary. So look carefully at the specifications of the panel you want to buy.
Dimmable LED panels: choose the perfect solution for your needs
Do you want to be able to adjust the atmosphere in your space with dimmable LED lighting?
Our LED panels are optionally dimmable, allowing you to create the perfect light intensity for every occasion.
Easy dimming with 1-10V or Triac
Choose from two dimming systems:
- 1-10V dimming: This is a standardized dimming protocol compatible with a wide range of dimmers.
- Triac dimming: This is a traditional dimming system compatible with most existing dimmers.
Tip: Check the dimmer capacity for max. number of panels
Experience the benefits of edge-lit LED lighting
Our edge-lit LED panels are characterized by an ultra-flat design of only 11.3 mm. In edge-lit LED panels, the LED chips are located at the edges of the panel. The light is guided through a special diffuser plate, resulting in even illumination of the panel.
The benefits of edge-lit LED panels
- Thinner design: Because the LED chips are located at the edges, less space is needed in the panel. Perfectly suitable for mounting in surface frames.
- More efficient light output: The diffuser plate ensures optimal light distribution.
- Even lighting: No dark edges or spots.
- Good heat dissipation: The aluminium housing ensures optimal cooling of the LED chips.
