Installation

This LED Highbay provides strong and bright light and is suitable for ceiling heights between 8 and 10 meters. This LED highbay is therefore suitable for spaces where a lot of strong light is needed such as sheds, warehouses, sports halls, factory halls, and garages. Due to its small size, this LED UFO highbay is easy to place anywhere and can be connected directly to the power network with an input voltage of 220-240V AC. The highbay has a strong iron loop with a diameter of 30 mm at the top for hanging. The 24 cm safety cable with carabiner can be used to secure the highbay additionally; this cable can also be used to hang the highbay straight or tilt it.

The highbay has 2 cables of 30 cm. The thick cable can be connected directly to the mains or with a power cord for a socket. The thin cable is for dimming the Highbay and can be connected to a 1-10V dimmer. Dimming is optional; if the dim cable is not used, we recommend sealing it with a (waterproof) terminal block or connector.

This UFO highbay replaces a conventional 1000W mercury vapor lamp, saving up to 70% energy (and energy costs) without compromising the lamp’s light output. This Highbay has 280 High-lumen LED chips of type SMD3030 with a lumen efficiency of 150 lumen per watt. For this 200W highbay, this totals an impressive 30,000 lumen.

Dimmable

This UFO highbay is optionally dimmable and contains a Philips Xitanium (dimmable) LED driver. You can set the light to the desired brightness. The Philips Xitanium LED driver requires a 1-10V LED dimmer. Note that a traditional (LED) dimmer does not work with this highbay and could cause a short circuit.

Waterproof

This LED highbay has an IP65 rating. It is dust-free and waterproof and can therefore be placed in damp spaces. The lamp is protected against water up to 100 liters per minute. A tap produces about 12-16 liters per minute, so it can handle quite a bit but cannot be submerged.

Reflector hood

If you want to illuminate specific surfaces or objects extra well, this lamp can be extended with a reflector hood. This allows you to create a smaller beam angle of 75°.

Colour temperature

To determine the right colour temperature, it is important to know what the light is used for. Below is a description of the most common uses for the different colour temperatures.

  • 3000K has a slightly yellow/orange glow. Ideal for a cozy, warm, homely and relaxing atmosphere in, for example, living rooms, waiting rooms, cafés, restaurants, corridors, and other general spaces.
  • 4000K has a white/yellow glow. Ideal for a well-lit space where good visibility, focus and a pleasant atmosphere are desired, for example in offices, classrooms, kitchens, hallways, shops, fitting rooms, hair salons, stairwells or waiting rooms.
  • 6000K has a white/light blue glow. Ideal for a well-lit space where good visibility and concentration are desired, for example in hospitals, laboratories, workshops, studios and garages.
