How to Convert a Fluorescent Fixture to LED
Be careful when removing the starter and the ballast. (These may be live)
- Turn off the electricity at the circuit breaker.
- Use a voltage tester if necessary to check that the electricity is indeed off.
- Remove the old fluorescent lighting from the fixture.
- Remove the starter (if present).
- Remove the ballast.
- Move the phase wire and the neutral wire to one side of the fixture.
- Insert the LED tube into the fixture. Ensure that the L and N inputs are on the side of the fixture that is connected to the power.
- Turn the electricity back on.
