How to convert a fluorescent fixture to LED

Be careful when removing the starter and the ballast. (These may be live)

Turn off the electricity at the fuse box.
Optionally use a voltage tester to check if the electricity is indeed switched off.
Remove the old fluorescent lighting from the fixture.
Remove the starter (if present).
Remove the ballast.
Move the live wire and neutral wire to one side of the fixture.
Place the LED tube in the fixture. Make sure the L and N inputs are on the side of the fixture connected to the power supply.
Turn the electricity back on.

G13 is the lamp base standard used for T8 tubes. It is a bi-pin base with two pins on each side of the tube. The distance between the pins is 13 mm, hence the name G13.
